Daniel is the proud president of Gaulden Monuments. He has been with the company for 11 years and is a member of the founding family. Daniel has three brothers and because his parents taught overseas, he spent his childhood living between the Philippines and Rock Hill, SC. Daniel loves how his job allows him to serve families and assist them with creating and capturing memories for their loved ones. In his free time he enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family. As president of a family owned business, Daniel is grateful for the ability he has to spend his career surrounded by family. Working for Gaulden Monuments has given Daniel the opportunity to build valuable and long lasting relationships with suppliers in the industry. He values the suppliers he has been able to work with because it has allowed him to source the highest quality granite and continue the legacy that has been in his family for generations.
Nathan is part of the third generation of Gauldens working in the family business and has been full-time with the company since 2008. He is happily married to Cami Gaulden and has two wonderful children, Caroline and Henry. He enjoys spending time on the water with his family and every summer looks forward to beach trips and warm days on the lake. He served on the Monument Builders of the Carolinas’ board from 2016-2017 and currently serves as secretary of the MBOC, which strives to promote and maintain industry excellence and is a network of premier monument builders located in the Carolinas. Getting to know the different funeral home partners and each family’s story is something Nathan values about his job. It’s rewarding for him to identify what is important to each family and most importantly, deliver it. Nathan grew up in the Philippines and enjoys anything involving water, including SCUBA diving and sailing!
Walter is a member of Gaulden Monuments’ Art Department, meaning he handles the hand-engraved monument designs and on-site engraving. Walter has been in the industry for most of his life and brings 40 years of experience with him to the company. He has been with the company since 1975 and trained under the original founder, Jack Gaulden. Walter’s expertise is in the art of stone cutting and design. He is from Rock Hill, SC and has been able to watch the company grow from its early days to where it is now. In his free time he likes to spend time gardening, working out and spending time with his family.
James Lingerfelt is the Information Technology, Draft & Design Manager at Gaulden Monuments. James uses skills and creativity developed over 25 years in the memorial industry to help families in their time of grief as they tell a story in stone of a life well lived. He has attended the School of Hard Rocks training weekend multiple times, been a student of the Bert J, Gast Memorial Design Course, and has set his eyes on achieving the accreditation of MBNA Certified Memorialist. With several designs in the MBNA Design Notebook and multiple honorable mentions in the yearly MBNA Design Contest. James would be honored to help you capture a memory in stone. When he’s not working he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, raising chickens, reading, and playing disk golf. James also serves as the Connections Pastor at Liberty Church in York, SC.
Jodie has been working in the company for 15 years, but has been close to the business for much longer. Her grandparents were the founders of this company and instilled in her “The Golden Rule” - “they always said if you do a good job for a good price word of mouth would carry you through.” It means a lot to Jodie that she gets to help families select a memorial that will cherish the memory of their loved one. Whether it involves creating a custom monument or matching another family members’ monument, she strives to truly listen to what families want and ensure their satisfaction. Jodie grew up in Rock Hill, SC and enjoys camping, sporting events and spending time with her family.
Terri has been part of Gaulden’s team for over six years. Her favorite part of her job is making personal connections with customers and helping them through their time of need. She strives to become someone that customers can come to for assistance and support. She values the connections she has made with past customers and the updates she receives from them now and then. Terri grew up in Brooklyn, Ohio and spent a lot of time in Charlotte, Hickory and Asheville, NC. In her free time she likes to read, go on walks with her dog, check out antique shops and go on hikes!
Greg has 30 years of experience in the monument industry. He is the former owner of another monument business and has been with Gaulden Monuments for the last seven years. He has refined his skills by attending various workshops and trainings at different industry conventions. He loves the support and team atmosphere that Gaulden Monuments offers. Greg attended Gardner Webb University and is from Marion, NC. He has been married to his wife, Daphne Daniels, for 20 years and has two sons, Weston and Graham. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Marion and currently serves on the board of the Marion Trails Association. In his free time Greg enjoys mountain biking, hiking, fishing and spending time with his family.
Bob Morgan's remarkable journey encompasses over 30 years as President of Morgan & Son Funeral Home, a family legacy he assumed after two years of dedicated service with the North Carolina Highway Patrol. His leadership in both law enforcement and entrepreneurship reflects unwavering commitment and integrity. Bob's military dedication shone through 23 years of service in the North Carolina Army National Guard, where he retired as a respected Sergeant-Major. In his community, he served as the Past Master of the Beaver Dam Masonic Lodge, chaired the Friends of Marshville Veterans Memorial Committee, and led the Marshville ABC board. His loving family includes his wife of 37 years, Robin H. Morgan, two accomplished children, Amanda Baucom Morgan, MD, and Weston L. Morgan, and a cherished granddaughter, Aubrey Baucom. Bob Morgan's legacy stands as an embodiment of service, leadership, and devotion to family and community.
John joined the Gaulden Monuments team in July of 2019. A native of Massachusetts, John has called North Carolina home for over 35 years and has resided in Salisbury for 25 years. He has really enjoyed all of the people he’s gotten to know while working at Gaulden Monuments as well as all of the new things he’s learned about the stone monument industry and craft. When he’s not working, John and his wife Cyndie love to hike the Blue Ridge and Rocky Mountains. During the fall season you will see him and the rest of the family at Wake Forest football games. It may be just a coincidence, but Wake Forest has won more games since John has been with Gaulden.
Jacob began working at Gaulden Monuments in 2001. He is a third generation employee in a 61 year family business. He is passionate about carrying on the legacy that his grandparents started. He was promoted to shop manager in 2019 and has an amazing team of experienced and talented memorialists. Jacob excels in creating unique and custom memorials. He was the 2019 School of Hard Rocks mallet winner with a one of a kind hand carved design. He has been happily married to Tonya Ellis for 20yrs and has two boys Gage and Guy Ellis. In his spare time he enjoys camping, hiking, and all summer activities.
